How do you realize that you are in a strange land?
For me, it is trough my ears.
In Jogja, my place was 50 meters from a double-track railroad and right under the descent line of a nearby airport. So every night my sleep always punctuated by the the sound of the passing train, and my morning call is the first flight ascending from the airport. But here in Ubud, my sleep was uninterrupted (and its too cold to do anything beside huddling under your blanket). My morning call was the sound of (almost) a thousand avians, ranging from the hooting of the doves, the chirping of small bird from a nearby rice field, to the proud sound of a rooster.

I am in a new place. Again.

My curiosity already sparked: What will the universe have in store for me here?
We’ll see, soon enough.
